Student Show forms a major part of the annual Aberdeen University Student Association (AUSA) Charities Campaign. It is a long-standing tradition in the North East of Scotland with our first show taking place in 1921! 2020 marks our 99th year of Student Show and we're still going strong.
Over the years, Student Show has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local charities. Our most recent production, 'The Glaikit Showman' raised over £122,000!
Each show is created and performed by students from North East Scotland College, Robert Gordon’s University and The University of Aberdeen with the help of a talented production team. The show parodies well-known titles from the world of film, theatre and literature and is written mostly in the tradition Aberdeen dialect - Doric! There is strong focus on musical comedy and this proves popular with our large, often sold-out audiences!
