Background

Scotland the What? were a Scottish comedy revue act comprising William "Buff" Hardie, Stephen Robertson and George Donald. They were all involved in Aberdeen Student Show various times throughout the 1950s and 60s in various roles. Click here to read more about the trio. 

The “Scotland the What? Prize” annual award was donated by this trio to be awarded to the member of the company who was judged to have made the most outstanding contribution to the Student Show of that year.

In 2021, the incredible honour of “Scotland the What? Prize” was given to Amanda Haggart, for her outstanding dedication to the show and going above and beyond.
